Carlos Alayon

Carlos has over 15 years of experience in private equity, mergers & acquisitions, financial analysis, and accounting. Most recently, Carlos worked with a middle market focused boutique investment banking and M&A consulting firm. From 2020 to 2023, he has completed over $800 million in M&A transactions while significantly outperforming the client’s expectations in each of the sell side engagements.


Carlos previously held a dual role as a senior financial reporting and accounting manager at CalAtlantic Title, Inc, a subsidiary of Lennar Corporation. Carlos was a critical leader in various M&A transactions, where he was responsible for assessing and integrating financial processes and reporting functions. Prior to CalAtlantic Title, Carlos was a Senior Associate at EIH Capital Partners, a private investment firm that focused on the acquisition of corporate divestitures. Carlos was responsible for leading the deal origination efforts and M&A process in North America and Europe. 


Along with managing relationships with Fortune 500 executives and investment bankers, he held an important role in organizing and training the firm’s business development team and instrumental in both buy-side and sell-side transactions. Carlos received his Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University.


Bert Lopez, CPA

Bert is a senior executive with over 40 years of expertise streamlining business processes, controlling expenses, enhancing revenue, and motivating talent to drive profitability. 

Bert has assumed the CFO and COO roles for multiple companies, including both publicly traded and private equity-backed companies.  During his career, he successfully raised over $1.8 billion of debt and $600 million in private and public equity.

Bert has served as CFO of Grove Bank & Trust, US Century Bank, Barnett Banks and BankUnited, where he had financial responsibility for a $15 billion balance sheet.  Additionally, he was CFO of Vertical Bridge REIT, the largest private owner and operator of communications infrastructure in the US, CFO of Intcomex, a $1.3 billion international electronics distributor, and COO and CFO of Trade Street Residential, a multifamily REIT, which he successfully took public through an IPO.  He started his career in public accounting and served as a Director in the Global Risk Management Division at PWC. 

Bert is a licensed CPA and received his Master of Business Administration and Bachelors from the University of Miami and was appointed to the President’s Council of his alma mater.
